After retiring from professional football in 1984 (one year with the San Diego Chargers and five years with the Philadelphia Eagles, including Super Bowl XV), Mark has been involved in the sporting goods industry in many capacities. Mark owned and operated a fishing resort, then managed a wholesale sporting goods company, and since 1994 has been a manufacturers representative, when he started his rep agency Slater Sales, Inc.
